Tampa Bay Watch, in partnership with Pinellas County, is recruiting volunteers for a nursery planting at our new community wetland nursery located at Fort De Soto Park, 3500 Pinellas Bayway S, Tierra Verde, FL 33715. The project involves taking bare-root plants and planting them into pots. The plants grown in our wetland nurseries will be used for future community plantings across the watershed to restore valuable habitat.

Tampa Bay Watch is recruiting volunteers to help install an oyster shell bar on the shoreline of MacDill Air Force Base.

We will be installing an oyster shell bar which involves shoveling fossilized shell into mesh bags and transporting the bags to lay on the shoreline. The goal of our efforts is to restore lost habitat by promoting new oyster growth, ultimately improving water quality and providing food sources and habitat for many species. Click here to register to volunteer.
